bearing prob.?

just checked bearings on my blown sbc. #1,2,3,4 rod bearings are trashed. no crush on upper, the bearing dia. shrunk? 5,6,7,8 look good. bearing width on good bearing is 2.260 on the junk bearings the width is 2.075 1.85thou. smaller. didnt hurt the crank..bearing clips on the crank and stays, and rocks in the rod cap as in way smaller now..have 2 burn out and one pass with tire shake. it this a oiling prob?? never seen this before, Thanks guys

 

Oiling problem will start to discolor the bearing, but IMO if the top bearing in the rod clips on the crank & falls off the rod,you have pounded the bearing. Detonation?

both upper and lower will clip on the crank..had 34* of timing in the motor and have ran the motor at 33* with no prob. main bearing look good. if you put the bearing in the rod cap theres about .060 gap on each side. shook bad that pass and lifted about 200ft in the run.

 

See if you shook your mag loose on the run.
