Kidd, in case you didn't notice the transbreak solenoid in the lencodrive is internal so its hard to hear inside that mag case but you should still be able to hear it.
If you don't have a working transbreak , drop the pan and check the wires that go from the solenoid to the terminal studs on the right hand side of the case. A common problem with the Lencodrive is when people tighten down the external nuts on the wiring studs on the case if your not careful you can turn the studs to the the point that the wire connectors on the inside can either break or short circuit together.
Also check the teflon bushing the the wire terminal studs go thru .;)

Odds are... If you got it from Snyder it was 100% when it left their shop :D

I can't hear mine either, but if you put your hand on the side of the case, you can feel it.

Just out of curiousity, do you guys have the old style shuttle? The Reason I'm asking is because when I'm in the car with it started (Blower car) with my helmet on and I can still hear mine faintly clicking over all that noise!

Not a dumb question at all.
I can hear and feel ours click. (without the engine running)
Give David at Lenco a call. Great guy!

p.s. Use an Odyssey battery and their charger! It'll save you at least a run, a round and maybe a race in your future. Also, make sure you have the safety valve/switch that locks out the trans brake after you shift out of low gear. <makes the starting and backing up after the burnout a little more complicated> Trust me, you don't want to risk the trans brake button being activated going through the lights!

    plunger valve

sometimes the plunger valve in the valve body can get stopped up with debris.

like gene said, our tbrake was very loud when applied. we usually dropped the valve body when we couldn't hear it.

You can hear them without the engine running. I can hear mine from at least 10 feet away. Whenever I can't it is always the valve body hung up with some trash.
