autometer computer how too

    anyone have an answer autometer data logger RPM channel I want to use a mag signal converter and do away with the crank pick up in the autometer there is 3 wires black/green/red..blk is ground green is signal for rpm and red is .05 volts how do I make this work?

    How about connect the signal from the mag convertor to the green and ignore the black and red. They'll be there to provide power to the RPM pick-up, but you don't need that with the convertor and I'd be surprised if the datalogger cares that they're not being used. You should still get a reading.

    If you can wait a couple of weeks I'll tell you for sure. I'm about to do the very same :D
