Putting together my small chevy. We run NE1 / 7.0 Pro (maybe). I'm new to copper & o-rings. What is the preferred thickness of the gasket? i'm .015 in the hole, so really anything above .030 would provide enough p to h clearance. P to V isn't a concern (mild camshaft).

Looking for a good seal. I will be running about 25psi.

This is a 372" Little M, AFR alum head, littlefield 12 with steel rods.

    Thanks for the input everyone.

For a hemi with a screw blower, I don't like running anything less than .050 thickness. If you are not running a whole pile of boost, and aren't likely to be detonating, I would think .040 gaskets would be fine.

    o rings

if you are running aluminum heads, put the o ring in the head and the receiver groove in the block.
