I also would like say what a great job you and Tom both have done this year. It is nice to have a div.4 driver as the TAD Champion. Hope you go to Pomona and continue the streak!!!

as i understand, gene was released from the hospital around 730 last night.

unfortunately, i was there to see this pretty bad accident. i was servicing the car and i heard gene do the burnout, so i jumped on the pit bike and rode over to the fence by the finish line. i got there right before he took off, and it was wheels up pretty quick and carried them that way for a while...it kept climbing until it finally blew over just before half track.

it did a flip in the air and came down on all fours facing backwards, full throttle. needless to say, it was a very scary moment at the finish line. luckily one of the wheels broke off on landing. the car kind of wedged itself against the wall and continued to run with the wheel moving. grant stoms and one of the darien crew got there just as the track crew did. i believe one of medlens guys was down there. the guys htat got there first directed the crew to put the extinguishers in the injector to kill the motor.

he was unresponsive at first but began to come to when paramedics started talking to him.

thank God Gene was ok. very scary moment.

NHRA said no belly pans after a bunch of blowovers way back. Now they make us put them on.
    Any connection?
I know they are in the back now and not for arrowdynamics but they do affect air flow.
Anybody smarter than me have any imput on this?
