Finding extra clearance bearings

Does anyone know if there are +.001 or .002 clearance hemi main bearings out there.

Im trying to get a little more clearance in the mains and I didnt want to polish the crank, I've been calling around and I cant seem to find any.

I'd like to get it in a 3/4 groove but at this point im not going to get too picky.

Call the Wizard. I got a set of .001 under rod bearings from him a few years ago so if they make mains he will probably have them.

 

If you want more clearance, plus + bearings will give you less clearance,you will have to " POoLISH" the crank

 

I run extra clearance rod bearings now, looking for mains, I will make some more calls.

I checked with good vibes and drew a blank and I called tom at Wizard he said they are not made anymore, looks like im gonna have my crank polished.

Polish the crank

I think you're better off adjusting your journal diameter for the clearances you desire with standard bearings. Then it's not a witch hunt when you need to replace bearings (or perhaps borrow some at the track).

 

Thats the way im going with it, the crank is going to get polished down a bit.
