Hi all, just signed up here after hearing good things about it from my brother (goes by the name of MotorPsycho).

I'm just getting to grips with a Racepak 4000 we have acquired for our blown Rodeck alky altered which I may well be asked about soon, but while I was installing the software I remembered that 10 years ago or so while crewing on a TAD we used to use some Davenport software to keep an eye on fuel system changes.

It was a DOS based program and you gave it all the nozzle details along with pump performance and all your other settings, when you made a change to anything you could see what effect it would have on flow. You also gave it weather data and it told you a main jet to use to keep your tune up the same, and seemed to give us good results.

What are people using these days, and does anyone know where I could get my hands on it or indeed the old Davenport software? The engine is late 80's/early 90's as is the Racepak so it probably doesn't matter if the fuel system software matches.

    Cheers,

    Martin

I know that Ralph Gorr has some tuning software but (sorry Ralph) I think the best out there so far is Davenport's Jetsize. There could be some improvements to it and especially the instructions leave a lot to be desired but it is still good. Jetsize allows you to play with "what if" so you can change things around on the fuel system and still keep the GPM the same.

Jetsize, that was the name. I'm going to have a dig around in all my old boxes of floppy disks and see what I can find. Cheers all.
