word on the street there is a new lockup clutch on the market being ran by a few tafc teams that have been running big numbers. supposedly has fingers that high center engage at a predesigned rpm. should it be allowed? what have yall heard?

Well, funny you would mention this. At a recent Div. Event, I watched the crew remove the transmission, loosen the clutch can, and then put a 'curtin' up to block the view of the clutch. I thought it was odd.

I wonder if that theory could be used on an A/Fuel car?

Well I heard it in Feb. BUT- good question on this being a clutch mngmt tool for A/FD. All the top fuel tuners I know state that the only real differance other than a tenth between AA/FD and A/FD is clutch management- They feel the blower is mainly an easier way to tune- but load and clutch are the main factors to making fuel cars quick and fast whether it has a blower or not!

    Mr Brooks,
Will the cover work with a Hays Steel Hat? How about a IHRA set-up (Small Blower)
    Thanks
    Bob
