I've got dual element canards on my 200" FED NE1 car. Are they working at all? I've been tempted to pull them off.

At what speed would i expect to see gains down track?

I currently run about 182-183mph. It feels very solid down track. This is our retired a/f car. It used to run 224mph +/-

Greg, DO NOT take them off!

Dad has some software from NASA (If I recall correctly) that will amaze you with how much downforce these canards produce.

If you cannot find it on the HRE site let me know. I have it on my laptop and can send it to ya...

all that downforce= loss of speed!!!! talk to Bill He is as smart as anyone out there. We dont need all that downforce to hold us down.I take mine off on good tracks, and leave em on on the slick tracks

    I disagree.

Downforce doesn't reduce your speed. Drag does.

Efficient triple element or even dual element wings are a good thing!

PS Greg, did you find the software at Dad's? Search for canard and EDB.

The guys will be in Sac next weekend. I have noticed i'm about the only NE1 car with canards. Most 7.0Pro cars don't seem to have them
