A few years ago I got caught up in the Simpson -20 fire suit recert hassle. Despite that, I actually bought another suit from them in 2005. I really didn't like their customer service but their products were pretty good. I was very vocal about my displeasure with their customer service both on here and on the phone with their reps several times.
But I am mature enough to admit to the good part of the issue too. I had asked on the thread about the Impact suit problems if anybody felt I could get my Team Simpson suit recerted without a problems? Well I am here to say that I am amazed. My suit arrived at my house this morning. It is recerted, altered, and even spiffed up so the old guys won't pick on me anymore. Team Simpson's Dave Nelson and I have talked several times on the phone during this very short process. I sent it out on April 17th and it is back today and that includes UPS ground both ways. They altered it to fit me better as I have lost 37 pounds. They also spiffed it up so it doesn't look like a Santa Claus suit anymore and recerted it at the same time. I am very pleased with their customer service. I am happy to say that Dave Nelson has changed my opinion 180 degrees about Team Simpson. His efforts to make sure I was happy with their service were amazing. I truly wish more companies had service like them. Dave Germain

    Dave,

Glad to hear, I bought a Simpson -20 suit in 2005 as well, as my original -20 wouldn't recert. I almost bought an Impact suit at the time and am now glad I didn't.

Just so happens that I bought a new simpson 20 from Allen Bridges ( off the simpson trailer ) Looked at the Phx Nats and then decided while they where in gainsville--Threw a wrench in the deal , when I decided to buy I needed it the next weekend.. Allen acomidated me and got the suit there on time without any freight charge.. Couldnt be more grateful and satisfied.... By the way that was shipping from florida to az. Great service... dave... gotta say very cool of you to post up an 'atta-boy' thread for simpson. seems so often people only take the time to write it up and tell the world when they have a negative to share... so huge props to you! (and simpson)

50-100$ is what i've seen for a recert fee. -15 & -20 suits expire 5 years after the SFI tag on the says.
