Best place to buy driving suit

    I know this is'nt so much technical..but... can anyone recommend the best place to buy a -15 driving suit? I'm looking ahead to 2010 where you'll need this for T/D. As I'm getting close for this year and starting from scratch, I want to buy a -15.
    I don't see the 15 and 20 suits advertised to compare pricing and really don't want to call every manufacturer to listen to a sales pitch.
    What did you buy, and how much was it? Thanks, Tom

    fire suit

    First I bought a cheap -15 suit from summit. It was so big and uncomfortable that I sent it back. after that, I got a Pheonix from Dennis Taylor. Great service and a great fit. I spent $1400 to get a relatively thin one.

    Dennis Taylor is a sponsor of this site and makes very nice stuff!
    I am absolutely not knocking Dennis s' products in any way, I use a Taylor transmission blanket and the quality is top notch but... to give you another choice, I have had great luck with Stroud safety ,very good quality , service and turnaround! ;)

    You may want to read the thread on the "pit buzz" forum about Impact. :eek:

    I bought a Phoenix suit from Dennis Taylor a couple years back, great suit. Always gives great service, easy straightforward guy to deal with.

    How could you not buy from a guy who has display suits at PRI with names like "Navin R. Johnson" and "Haywood Ja...."

    Fire Suit

    I went with the Stoud suit, it was about $900.00. Just make sure you choose a neutral color. I chose the lite blue from their website, it looked great on the site but when I got the suit it looked more like a baby blue.:( I still haven't lived that one down.:)

    a few years ago i really wanted to get one of the new Impact light weight suits. i decided to go shopping around a little, and ended up at Stroud. i have a 20....the big bulky one, and now I'm glad that i do. i feel alot more comfortable with what i have because of everything that has happened over the last few months with Impact. Stroud are really great people to deal with and you will get what you order on time. i would definately recommend them to anyone....nice people, great products.

    My DJ -20 is a nice piece of work, comfortable even though it`s kindo heavy and thick.
