I have a regular gear puller but it will not work on the crank gear because it has a radius on the back side of the gear. Any body have a solution for this?

    puller

Can you grind the puller on the flats? I got mine at Pep Boys. Works fine. And isn't pricey if you have to modify it. Just a thought. Good luck Don

use 2 flat peices bolted on each side to keep it tight and it will pull rite off heat will work but it will also affect the hardness. Dave

Don't be a primitive Pete, the puller i showed you is for pulling gears, expensive, but that's the way the pickle squirts, racing is expensive. :D
(big brass drift), you can use a crow bar too>

Eli is on the right course. All you need, from the sound of it, is a bearing separator and attach your puller to it. Borrow one.

I guess you can't tell sarcasm when you see it.

And by the way, there are two ways to do things, my way, and the right way, and they are both the same
