IHRA drops sanction of Milan & San Antonio

    I don't know about Milan, but I know San Antonio and IHRA are in court over a money/loan dispute. I think IHRA loaned San Antonio some money to make facility improvements that hasn't been paid back. But as always, there are three sides to every story.

    I do know that about the same time IHRA announced the possibility of dropping San Antonio that they picked up the new IHRA Facility in Crandall TX just outside of Dallas so maybe there is more to it.

    Probably good new?

    I believe it would be a good thing for Milan, Thinking IHRA won't be around at the end of the year unless someone steps in and fixes the one sided thinking they have! GO NHRA!!

    San Antonio Raceway is now NHRA

    The track in Crandall was supposed to have been finshed 2 years ago, the IHRA allready had them under their arm from the beginning.

    Starting 3/29/09 San Antonio Raceway is now sanctioned by the NHRA

    I live 20 minutes from the track in Crandall and although it was supposed to open in 2005, it is almost complete. Just a little concrete left in the front entrance and the rest is done, lighting, concessions, stands and everything else is in place.
