Get the Manton valve adjusters with the holes in them and use a palm style small grease gun - give em small shot of peanut butter at the start of every outing (don't need to grease every run).....never had a valve train problem using this setup...

That is correct. the hemi does not push oil up the pushrod like some other motors so it doesn't need adjusters with holes in them. Yes, you back off the adjusters and lube the tips. Its a pain but we all do it. Part of the fun of racing.

Just for clarification...we just make sure there is lash in the rocker and PB lubes them just fine....and you can see it ooze out around the pushrod cup....no need to back them off...just roll the motor over and lube as you would adjust the valves...

If you haven't got it already there are intake rocker/adjuster combinations now available that feed oil through a passageway drilled in the intake rocker from the rocker shaft to the threaded area where the aduster screws through the rocker.

Using adjusters made by Manton with a matching oil passage hole in the adjuster to the tip, your system will feed oil under pressure directly through the rocker shafts to the adjuster tip/push rod socket while the engine is running. PSI used to modify your existing intake rockers for a small fee. Noel Manton might have another source for gettng it done if yours aren't already that way.

    Just a suggestion:
Do not use peanut butter(Detroit Diesel International Compound)on push rods. It was not designed for that application.

    Use:

    Tech Line Coatings Inc.
    Ultra Gel

That's the plan. Also going to try the Norwalk deal. Did you know Norwalk is having a test session the 15& 16th? We're going one of the days.
Have you heard of any Quick races at Kil Kare this year?
