I'm going to be running a lencodrive. I need a battery to run just the transbrake and the tach. The car is started with a blower starter. The Lenco directions say to run a battery with at least 50 amps. I can't find anything like this short of a small car battery (or large mower battery). Anyone running anything lighter and smaller?

    Battery

Get in touch with Larry or Mick Snyder @ Snyder Motorsports, Demotte, IN. www.snydermotorsports.com

Or call East Coast Auto Electric. The battery you want is an Odyssey. It's small like a motorcycle battery.

Affirmative on Snyder Motorsports, best battery we've ever ran! Call Larry or Mick at 219-987-2921.

    18 v drill battery

I forget who makes the kit, but we powered the transbrake with a Makita 18v drill battery. We had 4 of them with the big charging station, just made a run, grabbed another battery off the station. It's the same setup the Pro Stock bike guys use to power their bikes. Just slide it on.

I can attest it will hold up to multiple instances of severe prolonged tireshake.

I always thought I got product deals because companies liked me. Turns out, they just liked me because they could showcase how much tireshake their product could live through....:eek::D

Anyone know why they switched back to a clutch? They ran that Lencodrive for like 5 years didn't they?

Thanks for all the help. Any idea who makes the kit for the Makita battery? I've got a bunch of 18v cordless stuff anyway, that might be a pretty slick deal.

Another option. At the interstate battery supplyer store I found these little gel cells. Forget the brand but they come in different sizes and voltages. The little 12v runs our tach 6 shooter and data logger. male spade connections 1@1/2" x 3" x 2" tall they have them up to about x4 bigger $15 battery $15 charger.
