Hey Randy, I just wanted to say a Big Congratulations for overcoming all of the challenges this year.

To go out with a brand new TA/FC driver and empower Daniel to Drive and Qualify at Pomona is very admirable and it's not like he hasn't earned a shot. Please tell Daniel Hi for me (and his Dad Greg).

Thank you and thanks to everyone who has emailed and called.

Daniel did a great job considering the tune up is a little rusty. Against Rick Jackson's car first round we burned it up pretty good. Then I about killed him when he shook his brains out against Harker in round two. The photographers hit the deck and the fans in the stands gave him a standing ovation for keeping it off the wall after nearly T-boning Steve. Set your DVR to ESPN2 if you don't believe me! I think Steve was the only one who wasn't concerned but his wife and I both needed CPR.

Weren't you on the original entry list for the 'Finals?

That was a wild ride and yeah Daniel did a great job I whatched it in slow mo on my 52 inch screen, Randy did you even have time to think oh no here we go again ?

 

Actually I was hoping that it wasn't going to be one of those "Third time's the charm" kinda deals. Two crashes with two drivers in one year is enough for me, but three crashes with three drivers would have probably set some sort of record. Heck, I might as well get back in it and run into something myself just to get in on the fun.


For a while there I was starting to look like the Jerry Darien of TA/FC. Line 'em up and let 'em rip. Unfortunately, most drivers right out of the drag racing schools aren't really ready for a competitive car. 5.80's and 5.90's and they are good to go. Set it up to run in the .60's and both previous drivers became instant passengers in the car.
