#2-i believe most use long feelers gages
#4-on the white strips we generously use wd-40 when sliding them in, as you can imagine, the strip gets stretched out, so we leave about 1 inch stick out each end of the rotor, then hit the ends in order to shorten/squish them with a rubber hammer, final step is to cut them off flush with the rotor
#5-i'm assuming your rotor plugs are frost plugs?
In the spring of '04 LF anodized some aluminum plugs/slugs for us, they recommended pounding them in, (they were press fit), then chucking the rotor and facing them off
We were testing on the dyno so we measured and marked each respective plug location, then faced the plugs individually. Then on the dyno when we installed them they were already flush to the rotor ends, but then we drilled and tapped through the rotors and put a screw into them to hold them in. We didn't trust just the press fit.
#6-several companies use pressed in nylon plugs
#9-put the rotors into the rear or front endcap first, this will help hold them together

I use a large hose clamp to squeeze the front of the rotor together, once they slide into the case 3 or 4 inches, you can remove the hose clamp.

Oh ye, someone from Nebraska (Lincoln or Omaha) came up with it. I was told it was quickly copied by some big teams and now they have there own versions.

I think he is on Cruz's team. It's not Kevin from Sioux City, but I can't remember the name.
