It seems that you all agree on shorter stroke for BBC engines so you can get a decent length rod in it. Is there a point where shorter strokes begin affecting power output? For instance, going from 4.25" to 4.0" or 3.766" will keep the motor happy. What about going down to 3.25" or 3.10"? Does the increase in RPM that you need to spin to get power out of the short stroke get offset by the decrease in efficiency of a roots blower at that high RPM?

Gonna try 4.25 with a 6.7 rod. Does anyone know what the valve to wrist pin clearance should be?

Better be a tall deck. That will not fit in a standard block unless you run without rings. But is a decent set up with a tall deck. I have run that before.
