hung my rods out

    Have blown alcohol hemi and threw #1 rod out cylender wall broke at the wrist pin . What would be the chances of bending the crank and the crank is a bryant ?

    Check it. Dont Risk it. We did the same thing a while ago. No sense in risking it...

    According to Henry Velasco the Billet cranks move around alittle. Every time I take my crank in to get checked out he always hammers it streight. Have it checked at the end of the season even if you did not hurt it. They do like to get surface cracks to

    did the same thing in billings laborday. #2 took out both sidea of the block.crank journal is black, thats a clue, I will send it out to see if its fixable. I still think chasing wild women is cheaper:rolleyes:

    David correctly welds the effected area with tooled steel, and then reheat treats the crank. No phoney hardchroming.

    If you guys are doing it them it must be cost effective to fix them???

    What is a ballpark cost for fixing a crack?

    I just had one journal welded and ground to standard. He removed and installed a new thrust flange. Micro polish,crack check, straightness check and ion coated for only $500.00.:

    Thing looks like its brand new.
