I think the better quote would be "If it worked then everyone would doing it already"

The idea isn't to sealup the blower, the idea is to cool the air going into the blower, just what do you mean by solids? I'm confused are you saying that it works or it don't?

I would guess he means less clearence between the nylatron (black) and case/rotors.

    That's my guess.

What happens if the clearence is too tight?

If it is too tight it requires more HP to turn the blower and generates more heat.

Mike if that is true, and i know it is, ( less HP more Heat) why dose every one re strip there blower after a few runs? when i ran a roots I never re striped it, Once it lapped itself in I figured it went to it's happy place and left it alone. I just readjusted the fuel going into it. and whats with not changing the area of the fuel system? the motor talks to you, it tells you what it wants, so way argue with the motor ? give it what it wants! unlike what Will says that his mentor says, the motor IS smarter than us, it has to be understood, (Like a Woman) you better learn the language or you will pay big time.

Eli, SoDak asked what would happen if the clearences were too tight. The only time a blower should be considered too tight is on the initial startup after it has been restripped. My answered was based on the blower remaining too tight or being abnomally too tight.

I am really surprised that you never restripped your blower and you never used a high speed leanout. Just imagine how fast you could have gone (lol).
