    green oil

i use bradd penn .... its the old green oil from kendall.. so far it has broke down the least of all oils that i have used.... not a bad price either at 42$ a case.. haven't priced a drum yet they sell various wts.. we use the 50 in the chevy and the nitro 70 in the hemis... also use the 20w-50w in a natural aspirated smallblock ... good results with all.

We run 65 wt ULX-110. Similar to brad penn. We never change it in our hemi, just drain and let the alky evaporate between races. We are a distributor for ULX. Give us a call 513-942-5641.

Can you elaborate on how you get it to evaporate?

Don't forget that you need to have your clearances right for the oil that you intend to run.

We just leave the drain bucket vented (top covered with paper towel, etc.) The alky comes to the top and evaporates.

About how long does how much oil take to "clean up"?

We have a large electric pot that was originally used for boiling shellfish that we boil our oil in. Tip it all in, heat it up and the alcohol starts boiling out at approx 160 f . After 5 minutes the oil stops bubbling and hey presto-alcohol is all gone and Im pissed and hungry. Allow to cool and refill the engine and oil bottles. Allow 1 hour before driving home.
NOTE- do this in a well ventilated place or Kaboom when your buddy walks in and lights a smoke!
I have considered asking the nitro boys for their oil, boiling and distilling the nitro out of it and selling it to the model car racers but havent got round to it.
Might be a way of financing the car.

I'll trade you some cucumber sandwiches for 5 minutes use of your pot between rounds ;)
