Titanium Flywheel and Hat

    What are the pros and cons of titanium vs aluminum for a hat and flywheel other than price?

    Is there aa et difference between the two? How much weight savings from Aluminum to Titanium?

    Depends on how competitive you want to be and how much you are prepared to spend. If you've got everything else right and are now looking for that extra edge, then it's possibly worth considering.

    Something else to think about; less (rotating) weight to accelerate will have other effects elsewhere.

    I have only used AFT parts in both titanium and aluminum. When compared to each other the aluminum part was lighter in both cases (cluth donut , flywheel) but the titanium part is as new after 6 years of use and the aluminum would get out of shape after 1 year of use.

    does somebody else has more info?
