Does anybody know the math ????
How much percent increase of TORQUE is gained
BY THE USE OF NITRO ????

example,..if loaded with 80% one would achieve
100 ft lbs of torque for every 10% nitro above 50% ...??????

    thanks
    Vic

not sure on the math part of it but a couple of friends of mine have a bit of experience with a small percentage. they built a 414 inch smallblock injected alc. small block chevy . real basic stuff made 650 horsepower(i cant remember exact numbers) but they put 20 percent in the tank and it made around 50 more horsepower and another 100 foot pounds of tourqe. i remember that number. I was impressed by that . thats pretty cheap power.

I just put a calculator for this on my website for you Vic! This is based on data from my car and quite a few different customers I've tuned running low, medium and high percentages. The formula is a compounded percentage...kinda like mortgage interest.

Of course, this can only be the result in a properly tuned configuration fuel-wise. And as the percentage increases, things like timing, cam, compression, etc. must change. And more torque doesn't mean you'll rotate the earth if you don't tighten up the converter and maybe even change gears for it.

It's on the sidebar in the calculator section: www.fuelinjectionent.com
