Can you drive stuff off a tri drive when using a belt drive for the cam? Like an RCD tri drive for mag, fuel pump, etc? I'm wondering if it is too much load for the belt?

At one time I ran 5 belts off the crank on a BBC. The blower belt, dry sump, fuel pump, a shaftless distrubuter, and the Cam belt. never had one come off or break. However the way the blower causes the motor to speed up and slow down, (Not a bad barrel valve adjustment, lope) just the regular running of a blower motor will cause the cam belt to wear and it will loose several deg of timing. It advances and retards the timing when not under a load. It will eventually wear the belt and just slow the motor down. I was lucky enought to catch this before it took all of the valve's out. I changed over to a gear drive and a mag. Now I have been converted to HEMI.
    I hope this helps.

if you do this take some good video and pics (cause it will probably be spectacular)

i may be wrong... but i've never heard of good things happening with belt cam drives on blown cars

    Drive

I use a George Sitko drive, from a Donovan Gear Drive.
It has a spud drive that runs the Mag and Fuel pump.Seems to work FINE,the Sitko Drive has a Gilmer Belt.
    Hope this HELPS?

    Belt Drive

I use a Jesel belt drive on a KB Olds with a Dunn offset. Mag is in the center with the pump off to the side. Have talked to many guys running Pro Mod type cars using similar, setups with good luck. Also have had alot say the, wouldn't run it - too scary! One thing I do know is if you have a major engine failure or any question on the integrity of the belt CHANGE IT.
I bought my motor being fresh but found out later after chewing up a belt and skipping a tooth that it had many runs on it. I was lucky it didn't ruin anything other than the weekend.
