I have had fires and the /15 equipment held up just fine. I was wondering what caused the change?

Simpson has quite making the 3.3/15 glove and you can only buy 3.3/20 from them. They are a nicer glove and as they explained it to me they are not like a kitchen mitt any more and they do fit way better. In another year or so TAD will also be expected to go to 3.3/20 gloves and boots so might as well buy them now and not replace them in a year or so.

My dad was in one the worst fires in the history of our class at reading in 06. A situation where he ended up sliding backwards and the fire was all around him. He had all the safety equipment that was mandated by NHRA. Had the 20 rating gloves and the boots been mandatory maybe only his face would have been burned. Instead he spent four months in intensive care and is still recovering to this day. Had we ever expected a fire like his he would have had the 20 rated everything. So buck up, be safe, and have the piece mind to know your protected. You never know what can happen in a racecar.

I will purchase the "better" gloves and boots and leave this internet posting to those with the skills to discribed their thoughts in the written language. Every time I try and do it it doesn't read the way I thought it. If anyone wants to stop by the pits and talk about this suff i would be happy to.
