What is considered the best blower made for a tafc roots 526 hemi right now?

Or is it better to get say a kobelco promod with all mods and run it at 55% ?

what is the common blower overdrive for tafc?

    Thanks in advance guys!

    Psi Roots

The PSI roots is the best hands down . It has Run 5.60 and gone 249 mph.Almost all of the fast guys in IHRA are using them and quite a few Pro Mods are now figuring them out !

When you have finished your research and pricing , if you are interested in buying used check the classifieds board we have one for sale.

I agree with Les. The early PSI's had a few problems but they seem to be fixed now. My second choice would be a Littlefield with the K-11 rotors. Becareful of blowers that are set up for only OD in the 20% area for ProMods. These are not designed for high ODs.

I can't disagree with whats been said, let me add this.

The guy with the best blower doesn't necessarily win, although it does give him more potential.

Chesterman/Hutchmeier's highest dyno HP roots motors were not their fastest. They tried and tried and finally went to a lower HP motor and went faster. They knew it was because the higher HP didn't fit their combination but they got fed up with trying to figure out the rest of the combination.

My opinion, you can't go wrong if you get a PSI, SSI, Kobelco or Littlefield.

They will be so close to each other that when all the variables then come into play, (engine settings, chassis settings etc.) its hard to know if its the blower or what thats a little bit better.

Make sure the blower matches your combination; OD limit, engine RPM, budget etc.

    :)
Wasn't their was a thread a while back on choosing which blower is best for you?

Take a look at the new Kobelco M5. DMPE has designed new case and top plate assembly that allows the same blower to be used for any class just by changing the inlet. All improvements and design changes will be made to this plate .

PSI has the same thing with the ERD spacer, and from what I've seen the ERD/PSI combo is a much nicer piece.

I Have heard that one of the best blowers is made by Chuck Ford. I don't know if these blowers are available to the public though. Mike Ashley's ride has one on it. Again I cant speak from experience though.

I was talking more about the spacer on top of the blower from ERD, but I do really like the PSI. You're friends with Darren, we're friends with Roger.....people are going to have different opinions, no need to get upset. This is a public forum and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
