We are building a new 10.5 car and we wanted to use a tf block with alky heads for a twin turbo alky motor. We were running a turbo mustang but now want to use a tf block with alky heads. We are new to the hemi alcohol parts. So my question is for what we are wanting to do does any one have suggestions on what block would be best and what heads would be workable and also what blocks to stay away from. Like I said we are just starting and any help would be much appreciated.

Over the years lots of guys have tried turbos but somehow they keep coming back to standard superchargers. Either the PSI or the various roots type blowers. I can't think of a single person running a turbo in Top Alcohol Racing. Also when you mentioned using a TF block what did you mean by that? TFX makes blocks, so does KB, BAE, CN, and a few more that slip my mind at the present. I think it was a great question but possibly posed to the wrong group of racers. Dave Germain

    twins

Ok guys, he's asking about a combo for Outlaw 10.5, not top alcohol. There are more and more guys starting to make stupid power with the twins on alky w/ ford and chevy motors. I'll throw my own 2 cents in on this subject. It seems that port velocity plays a big part since most that are making these combos work are running standard configuration heads. A fuel head has a smaller port and may actually work better for this application. I'm by no means an expert but that never stopped me from giving my opinion.

    Twins on a hemi

Heres my two cents, turbos are more efficient than belt driven superchargers.I run a BAE hemi with a 14-71 hi-helix in pro street, and ran it in 10.5.I wish I had the money to switch to twins. You have a great thought to go this way!the front of the car would be lighter, and you can see better from inside the car.You want to get ahold of Shane Tecklenberg at fastmotorsports.com.He tunes very fast turbo cars and told me he always wanted to try a alcohol Hemi on twin 88's.If any of that helps, great. If not, sorry to waste your time.

Thanks on the BAE blocks how many cubes can you get out of them and what heads will work on them. Not worried about intake as we will have to make one.

    Hemi cubes

You can get pretty big,but you need to check the rules for what racing org you run in.Some have wieght breaks for lower cubes. For example, the PSCA on the west coast, has a 450 ci limit for turbo big blocks at 3000lbs.The ADRL has no ci limit and no min wieght.WCHRA has a bunch of different rules, too.
Do you have a backhalf car ,or full tube? You'll have to check rules on that, too. You can make lots of power with low cubes(say 450 ci).Tim Lynch went almost 230 mph,on 10.5s,at 3000 lbs, with only 431 inch ford.N20 cars need big cubes, blower and turbo cars do not!If you don't have a motor yet, build something common,to save money on parts.Robert Reehl is a good source for used Hemi stuff. His # is on this site. That way if you break at the track, you can hit up the top alcohol or pro mod guys.

Did you send me a message?
the car was build to the 10.5 outlaw rules for orsca. We are just looking at the bae block the kb and tfx. Will the alcohol heads interchange with other blocks and what are the better heads/ blocks KB TFX BAE. We wanted to go this route to have a wider range of used parts. Plus most of these blocks can handle what ever we throw at it.

    sure send it to ecupike@yahoo.com
The chassis is nice and we have been running a crappy sbf in a crappy mustang chassis with a single turbo and have won some local stuff with 4:80's. So this will be a big improvement for us with the new chassis
