Need advice 14/71

    Hi all,
    Need a 14/71 Blower
    Some advice on a new/second 14/71 Psi, high Helix ?
    Need to know best Boost for my buck.
    Not trying to spin the world, Bracket racer, no over drive limit.
    Would like to make about 42 pounds Max
    Max Rpm 8000 6.5 sec 1/4 mile
    540 Hemi

    PSI roots blowers are not very good at lower OD. They are great at high OD. I think for your application there are a lot better blowers available such a Littlefield LB 20 or a Kobelco K-11. Since racing season is coming to an end there should be a lot of blowers going to be put up for sale. As note here since you are 540 cubic inches your boost is going to read a lot lower than a 526 hemi.

    Another vote for a Kobelco Superman.
    On 540 inch Chevrolet turning 8400 mine is 42lbs in summer air, and 44lbs in quality air at 37 over. It's been to Darrens for upgrades, and most would say its needs to be stripped, but my tune up stays constant.

    Fresh Mike Janis modiefied K11 with custom spacer for sale. Setup for 24% to 29% od.

    Give the TBS XR1 a look. Mine makes 32#@16% 540 Chevy.
