E85 fuel

    Is there any help here for a friend of mine, when running E85 roots blown BBC ???

    Is there any tuning software for him to use, like " Jetsize" , for this fuel ?

    A quick google confirms that pump E85 can be anywhere from E51 ro E83. For a consistent tune use a race blend E85 from VP, Sunoco etc.

    More google and I see a turbo liked 7.6 AFR on E85.

    For blown engines on ethanol I would definitely run E98 as the 15% gas is not great gas and like said above can wildy vary.

    A close friend dominates the local circle tracks with E85 carbs and dynos at his shop.

    I don't believe that it has near the detonation resistance so you'll want to do whatever you can to reduce detonation

    More technically correct would be to say I don't think it is as preignition friendly so keep a keen eye on that.
