I have read everyone of his books , starting with the first one he wrote. Each one has gotten better than the previous . They are excellent reference material. He is a retired engineer that ran a blown alky FC for a while out here in northern CA. At first like most people starting with a car like this he asked other people for advice. In a short while he realized that most of what he was being told was wrong. He then decided to applly solid engineering knowledge and techniques and figured it out on his own mostly. He did finally enjoy the benifits also of long discussions with the likes of Gene Adams, Don at hilborn inj, Mert littlfield ,and many of the older tuners and manufacturers of the equipment used today. His books take a lot of the Voodoo and Black magic out of making these engines run with out hurting stuff. These are not for the guys that are already at the top of the different Alky classes ,like Pro mod, TAFC, TAD, etc. but for the guy that wants to learn the basics with out blowing up his stuff. He and his daughter also have an excellent online calculator for realtime tunning at the track and is excellent for getting a baseline to start with. I like his stuff, and recommend it for all put the guys at the top. He is also extremely helpful on the phone getting you through stuff that has you stalled in your efforts. If you are not sure just call him, he is a super guy and gets a kick out seeing guys succeed with there cars.

I just finished that book, I bought it to gain a better understanding of the details of how blown methanol engines work. I'm a crewguy with great mechanical knowledge, but wanted to learn more about the functional parts of the car. It was very informative. A little repetitive & wordy at times, but very well researched, indexed, footnoted & presented. It will go into the trailer for reference.
