Anyone ever ran a .900+ lift cam set up in a blown Chevy? I have a .530/.515 lobe 55mm cam that I was thinking about giving a shot. Other than being hard on springs has anyone ever ran a similar set up and what was your experience?

Yup. Mine was closer to .940. Pac 1360 duals listed me all season with plenty of life left. Just keep the lash tight. I ran around .014

Run a spring cup to help it out. I use a inner one seems to help keep a lot of movement out if the spring.

What engine did you run that in and what kind of performance did you get out of that size cam?

Never really hurt pets until I tried leaving on 2 step all the time. But that engine was rock solid.

Well at 2800lbs shifting at 8500 it went 6.40s all day everyday. Shifting at 9600 it went 6.11-6.19. Like I said the 2 step was really hard on parts. It tore up t&d rocker arms like it was its job. Looking back on this I should of used a air launch control. Prolly would of saved a few arms.

Ive heard big chief valvetrain is much harder on parts in a blown deal than conventional headed stuff.

You have to add bolts and studs to the stands to help it out. Even weld the stands to each other helps a ton. I think t&d has made one piece stands for some heads now.
