I know the 168 tooth deal is the most common, but is anyone on here running a 130 tooth flex plate with a blown combo?

I have a customer that is running a glide with a Reid case. The mounting position for the Meziere starter and the 168 tooth will not line up with the starter mounts on the bell housing, but will work with a 130 tooth deal.

Just seeing if anyone is running that set up and will it have enough torque to spin a blown hemi with a fresh/tight roots.

Man that's small ring gear. There's no way that works. Maybe at 48 volts but I can't see 24volts doing it. I have a meizere with a 166a and on my new blower I had to start it on the mag the first time because it didn't have enough on it.

Will , we have been running the 130 tooth flywheel for 4 years with a 24 volt starter and a 12 bolt last year on 24 bolts and never a problem. Started with a 24 volt system and never failed to start with a 44 amp mag and started on the crank trigger too! Thanks, Jim

And I have a new in the box Meziere Chrysler style 10DP nose gear made for the 130 tooth flywheel that I had for a spare and I never needed it, in case you need a starter. It is the best HP model and will take $400.00 shipped in the lower 48 states. Thanks, Jim in TN

I know Ken Cruz was running them for years as well with a new PSI roots and it started fine. I know because I have both of his old flexplates here.

    Hey Jim,
Are you mounting in the Chevy position or stock Mopar position? I might be interested. I've got to run something down to Jeffrey sometime in the next week, if you're not in a hurry to sell, can you run it by his shop, I've been looking at that starter for a while, trying to figure out if I can physically get it in the car (in Chevy position). FWIW I ran a Tilton on my RED 541 KB, 130T, 14 Hi-helix, SMIII, 2-12V wired for strong 12v (parallel ? can never remember which....lol) Granted, it was only 11-1 comp. but I never had any trouble starting. Biggest hassle was closeness of starter to block/pan, but doable.

Ronnie, My starter is for the stock Chrysler position. It mounts to the Bellhousing just like a stock 2 bolt mount factory Mopar starter-THANKS, Jim
