Blower setback plate.

    What is the best set back for the blower on a Hemi alcohol motor.Older 1471 x fuel, open bottom , KB manifold.

    So are you saying that is a standard helix blower? Unless the rules require that you are really wasting your time if you are trying to improve performance. I would highly recommend selling it and buying a high helix blower that runs cooler, and makes more boost.

    Thanks for that Mike, yes its a standard helix blower. Will have to run with what we have at the moment and look around when we are back on track. Thanks again, Mike W

    I just went down this road trying to find a set back plate for an SSI to go on a screw intake. You basically just need to take measurements and have one built.

    Chris and Todd at Alan Johnson Performance got me a custom plate built to my specs pretty quick and reasonably priced.

    I didn't move the blower back for performance, but to get the opening lined up with the intake.

    As mentioned by Mike, you will pick up a lot more with a newer style blower than a set back plate.
