WE are using a ACD programmable shifter to shift a 3 speed CS-2 Lenco that is behind a Bruno on our Top dragster, But it's very unreliable, I am looking for something better, what is out there that works well?

Any info would be a greatly appreciated

    thanks again

I've used ACD's stuff for years and normally never had an issue. What's not working right?

Command module and lahey auto shifter. Every fast promod has it. Dead on shifts. Not 2-300 late like acd

What causes the 200-300 difference from desired?

Processing and air actuator time. If Leahey's is right on then the computer is shifting early to account for the delay. This does make it easier.

Agree, you just need to compensate for the delay with the ACD. Just takes a pass or two to get it dialed in. If that is the reason for wanting to change, I think money could be better spent. If you are burning up boxes, that is a different subject.

    ACD shifter problems

All, Thanks so much for the help, this is the problems we are having shifting.

The ACD control box would up shift on a pass sometimes, other times it would hit the rev limiter in first gear and when I looked at the CO2 psi gauge on the dash the first gear pod was at 0 psi, I got a new box and sent my old unit into ACD for repair, I put on the new box and it is up shifting all of the last race. But sometimes the new box will not down shift I hit the Arm/down shift switch and the down shift valve opens and just drains the CO-2 tank. if I cycle power to the controller then I can down shift and the trans goes into first gear, For last weekend I just put a switch on the dash to cycle power to the controller so I could get it into first gear.

on a side note, I have gone through all of the wiring for the tach and for the shift controller and re soldered all of the wire connections, before I replaced the box.

I have the tach wire for the data logger and the shifter landed on the shift controller tach connection point. and we always get a tach input to the data logger. so I am pretty sure we are getting a good tech signal.

Thanks again for all of the help!!!

I've used the Msd 7559(1-?) for years I a couple different cars with good luck.
'Noid is the same as the Bruno t/b (the one without the plunger).
