I just began wiring in my electric timer for my new system. It is the new generation box to where it says the timer shorts the blue to black or green to black to begin a timer. Im running a trans brake with a delay box and im curious how other people are wiring in this system.

You have to use a Bosch cube relay. You might want to consider having a WOT switch in the path to the relay so it only starts the timer if the throttle is wide open and the transbrake button is released. Or have two transbrake switches one for racing and the other for activating the transbrake for backing up or putting it in gear. Either way works just your preference. I like the single simple button

Do you ever have troubles with vibrations in that it messes with the relay?

How and where do you mount the relay?

I sent mine back and had them set it up to take 12 volts away from blue wire to start. Green wire to ground to through pressure switch. 1-2 shift.

Never had problems with vibration and the Bosch cube relays. They are used by a lot of racers

I currently have relays set up in a way that the delay box closes 3 relays to activate 3 relays for the transbrake. Line lock. And to start a digiset for my koni shock controller. But if i set it up to have the trans brake close the new relay i am confused how to wire that in. 12 volts will close the relay. If i wire the leahy box to normally open when i press the transbrake the timer will start on the close of the switch rather than the release of the button. And if i were to wire it normally closed it will start the timer on the initial power to the box. Does that make any sense?

now that I am at my computer maybe I can explain it a little better. If I set it up to so that the 12v applied to the relay will close the relay and start the timer as soon as I hit the button and not on the launch. if I set it up to be normally closed, as soon as I turn the power on to the car the timer will start. in that scenario, the trans brake button will open the circuit. then upon staging, the trans brake will open the circuit then start it once again on the launch. this seems right to me. I just want to make sure that the timer will repeat itself and have no issue running through a cycle when I turn the power on to the unit, start the car, then run through the proper cycle upon staging. I know it seems complicated but im trying to explain it the best I can.

That is why you need a WOT switch so the timer won't start until you release the button on the two step. Is this a Bruno or Lencodrive or what? If it is a Bruno then you should not be using a relay in series with the button and Bruno. Relays can slow your reaction time down. You can have them in parallel to thebtransbrake to activate things

powerglide. I have wired in a second button for backing up. I have all 4 relayings wired in parallel to activate off of the one race button for the delay box. as long as the relay is consistant I wont have an issue. bracket/top sportsman car with a delay box. I have it wired normally closed. so the delay box activates the relay. and when the trans brake through the delay box is relay it re closes the relay to start the timer. Upon doing a dry run it appears to be working properly so far.
