    Asking for a buddy.

Is there anything stopping a person from running zoomies up thru the hood in a ProMod/TopSportsman type application?

If you read the rules all it says is (paraphrasing) ......exhaust must be directed out of the body, rearward, away from the driver and fuel cell.

Zoomies up thru the hood, inclined slightly rearward would comply to this ??

    Thanks.

I would be interested in knowing why you want to do that. It sure would be hard putting the front end on because the slide back and you have to catch the front retainers on the chassis. How would you slide the front end on with the exhaust tubes sticking up?

In buddy's case his front clip does not include the hood (what there is of it). Clip goes on first and the hood goes on last. I think he's a bit nuts myself (he'll look like a puller dude) but to each his own. The main question is would it be legal? When I dug out my NHRA rule book I couldn't really tell based on the words in the rules. My take was that it could be legal, but as with all rules a lot of things are left to the interpretation of the reader/inspector. Thanks Mike.
