Roots Supercharged Cylinder Heads

    What do you think are the most important performance features, such as;
    -cfm
    -intake port cross section matched to rpm and cid (what air speed is good for this type of engine)
    -quench
    -etc

    Would you add to this?

    Is it important to compare flowbench cfm that has been measured higher than 28"?

    My air speed is 305 over 500cfm lots of area to pull charge from

    All means nothing! I had a chevy make 2400 hp at 20 over. Terrible profiler heads that didn't flow as good as dart 360. If your spinning high od the. Big valve works well. If your low od then looking at 2.400 legal stuff will make more hp then large valve stuff.

    That's the kind of stuff I'm wondering, what about the "2.400 legal stuff" is it that makes more HP in that situation, is the air speed better matched?

    Maybe explain what your trying to do or trying to build. What's your combo. Are you not happy with something.

    Its the never ending quest for more power.

    We are limited to 43% over on HH 8's, BBCs with conventional heads.

    Ok big bore , short stroke. What heads. Cam. 4-7 swap. Ls firing order?? Set back blower. Set back intake? Chevys make power. Reliable power too. Who's blower. Is it stock, delta opening , bearing plates mods?

    When you research what cylinders heads will be the best for your NA engine there is all this info about things like cross section, air speed, volume, etc., but how does this change when you put 30 psi boost on top of it?

    Has someone come up formula's showing that the cross section should be larger?
