    Hi,

Has anyone had any luck with using 10" Motive or Tom's gears in a late model Strange 9.5" Top Loader housing?

Do they fit without any modifications?

What do you need to do to the pinion support?

    Thanks,
    Doug

Doug; since nobody answered, the best way to be sure, call Strange 847-663-1701, when message starts, hit 4748, Joe the tech man.

Here's what I do/think I know: People fail to use the term "generated" meaning the tooling exists to make 11"-10.75"- 10.5"-10".
To make this tooling work to produce a ring gear to fit the 9"/9.5" case, they remachine the ring gear from whatever they started with to 9.400, which is what we call 9.5" or in this case 10".
The pinion is the issue, they are larger and longer. Someone offers a spacer to push a std. one out, but it sucks. You will need a new pinion support and bearing set for this change. NOW.....whether the pinion teeth clear the inside of the top loader, I don't know, Joe will !

    Mark Williams 11" Gear

After reading the information here, can anyone tell me who to contact for a Mark Williams 11" gear? The MW 11" goes to a 4:57, and I need a 5.00 to 5.14 gear and they are not available through MW. Any help here would be appreciated. Please contact me at csmjimbkyle@bellsouth.net or post here for all. Thank You, Jim
