Altered Wing Strut rule changes????

Heard a rumor about Wing Strut placement rule changes on altered. does anyone have anymore info on this supposed rule change?

Will happen in 2015, no tube type struts attached to the cage, if rear wing is attached to the cage it must be with plates, no more than 6" c-c distance from tabs on cage to mount on the wing. can be mounted to the chassis with tube structure. subject change with out notice

 

So who crashed their car and had a problem?

 

Randy, No one I know of, just a knee jerk reaction from the powers in Glendora. I mean the jerks in Glendora

 

I have seen a strut save a few from catastrophe.

 

I emailed Div 6 tech director Dave Shaffel last month and he said it has been deferred until 2015.
They were discussing it in depth up until about a month ago when everyone started getting busy with
races. They are not sure what direction this is going to go as they were gathering data and
input from a number of different builders and race teams. They had guys at
the March meet specifically checking the different wings currently out
there. Basically at this time they really don't know what the the rules will be.
