Does anyone see a problem with locating the fire bottles behind the fuel tank, inside the frame rails. The length of the bottle will place the heads about seven inches out from the blower pulley. They will not fit up front because of the canard wings. The car is 125" altered.
    Thanks,
    Jody

Mine are there. It was the only place I could find to put them on my altered. Kinda a pain to get the plumming done, but works fine.

I had the same problem, had to mount them one on top of the other next to dry sump tank, behind fuel tank. Went through pretty rigorous tech inspection at HHR last year at BG, passed fine.

I just had my bottles mounted on the top rail over the a arm area. One on each side of the fuel tank. I will have to modify the tree for the f/c body but will be fine for the altered nose. I could use the canard wings as well. I had to do this because of the nostalgia front nose. the chassis is short there. Got the idea from some nostalgia nitro cars.

No sweat. let me know if you want a picture. I used the coldfire system and they make a shorter bottle, (still 10lbs each). So when they get sent in for recirt, I make sure they send me my bottles back. The longer ones won't fit.
