NHRA's 7.0 Eliminator series has a new rule amendment for 2013.

It is now allowed to use a 1471 HH.

Craig, it always puzzles me why there are any need of blower rules at all on a 7.0 index. Same goes for mag rules?????

    Blessings.............Ron Clevenger:)

I just checked the 2013 rules ammendment on the Museum web site and it clearly states NO HiHelix.
I did see where the BG and New England races were allowing the HiHelix because they aren't points races for 7.0
I don't understand the rule either ????????????? Its a INDEX class.
I would like the west guys to explain the reasoning behind the HiHelix ban.
    thanks
    Steve

    Bantam,
The notice should have been posted last week by NHRA.

Maybe you guys should tell nhra to pound salt. Its rediculess to sell your stuff just to go to a bracket race. I can only wonder how many HH blowers are being used. Mine is so old its getting social security. I doubt it gives me an advantage against anybody. Im sure its still safe to use. so whats next they wont let it be used anywhere?

We are stuck with the NHRA if we want to run the Heritage races. I love going to the HHR..:D:D:D it truly is an event first and a race second and now we have a another race in the east at New England Dragway in Sept.
I e-mailed the NHRA tech dept. and asked them to clarify the blower rule. I will post the response.

Wow!!!! now Door cars are allowed in 7.0. Not sure about that. I thought thats where the "Gas" classes came in. Now we will see 50 or 60 cars instead of 35-40?? What does everyone else think?

Steve, ask them about the Group 1 races also. Only 4 listed for points and doesn't say anything about a final for the Championship. Someone screwed up or is NHRA pushing us out of that game too?

The way I read it they still have to be blown alky or nitro injected so no "gassers" ie top sportsman cars with a bottle...

    Turbos

You should send me an email. We've got the makings of something great starting up here in Utah. Your turbo charged altered needs a place to race!
