am considering making a 10.2 to a 10.7 with a block spacer. never seen one made up close, and many people have said they have made these before with no problems. making it isnt my problem, but wondering........

    1. do you use a head gasket on the lower surface?
    2. if not do you just o ring the lower surface?
    3. is the plate attatched to the block with dowels and screws to keep it secure ?
    4. i assume the new liners are registered and oringed into the top of the new spacer like the block surface
    5. im all screwed up and way off base, just spend 10k on a block and get it over with.
    6. the reason is so that i can keep all my 10.7 stuff the same, and not buy different rods, pushrods, intake manifolds, belts, etc and keep my 2 motors the same parts

any and all responses wanted. its a mbr/fontana solid block 4.5 bore

thanks, dan 8585694904 or nitrobandit1@yahoo.com if you have any pics of one made

    10.2-10.7

I have a rhino block that someone did that to. Have had a little problem with the intake plates leaking some. Don't know what they did to the block, haven't had it that far apart yet. I think the motor came from khulman at St. Louis.

WHY? I saw one before and wondered WTF? 10.2 deck will support a 4.25 stroke.Hemis are turning 10000 rpm with a 4.15 arm in a 10.2 block.
I'm just the opposite. I want to mill the deck down to 10.2. Most hemis are 10.8 just because they had to be tall for 4.5 stroke nitro stuff.
