Nozzle Body Sealant

    Just drilled and tapped my intake for my nozzle bodies. Got them all tapped so the "Whistle Notch" points right at the intake valve. What are you guys using on the threads at assy? Just thread tape, silicone, or dry? Thanks, Scott

    Liquid teflon here, NOT the tape !! :cool:

    Same, liquid PTFE not tape all day long

    Blue Loctite here.
    The teflon paste also works well but you want to get that from your local auto store. It's a creamy consistency. Packaged by Loctite and Permatex.
    The stuff in the hardware pluming aisle is too thick, coarse, dry and hard to work with for our use.

    About the only time tape is useful in this application is when the hole has been tapped too big.

    On the other side of the coin use the plumber paste or tape when working with actual steel pipe in the house or shop. The creamy stuff won't work. The threads are just too sloppy and coarse on chinese pipe. Found this out AFTER assembling new air line in the shop. Do over
