Where do the EGTs peak at the end of the run? Is this a HH blower or a standard helix blower. How much boost are you seeing at 8000 in high gear, what is the peak boost seen? If you use new plugs and don't see any cadium burn off the base circle at the end of the run then I would lean it out by ten sizes on the main jet until I could see the cadium start turning grayish white. then lean them out 5 sizes at a time until I had about 3/4 burn. If that makes your main jet too big then you need a pump sizer loop with about a 35-38 lb poppet in it.

Thats a big pump and lots of nozzle area for 20# of boost. You will need a pump loop and a reduction in some of the nozzle jets to use a 990.

The way I read it, too much fuel in the hat. Reduce those .056"'s to say .050" try a pass then if needed reduce again to .048" then .046"

Reducing these hat sizes from 0.01980 sq in (using the .056") will also up your total system pressure.

IMO its too much fuel. I agree with the above and when does your high speed open?

We run pretty much the same setup--two 540 BBC with BB2-X, Mallory IV and 35 to 40 degrees of timing (depending on track conditions). We run 46.5% overdrive. We run a 175-2 pump and the hat nozzles go from 46 in rear to 52 in front with two in the back of the Littlefield HH and the same hat setup on the SSI straight blower. The port nozzles run from 38-40 in #7 & #8, to high 60's in #2 (our problem cylinder). The middle ports are in the high 40's to low 50's. #1 cylinder is like a 62 or so. The main jets are around 100-120 depending on weather. This gets a good 3/4 burn (which is safe). I don't run a high speed or loop. But then, we tractor pull so we are at WOT a while longer, but it is still blown alcohol. JW
