    What is the best 2 way radio system on the market at a reasonable price? One that will work with mags, etc.

    Wich system do you use? the Motorola or the cheaper one?

    Truth is just because the name is Motorola does not mean its the best. At one time Motorola was top of the line. But now there are a few that have caught and even surpassed Motorola's quality. A Vertex equals Motorola in Quality and Clarity and has 25% more power (5 Watt UHF). A much better radio than Motorola. Motorola bought Vertex in 2010 because they were getting there butt kicked. They haven’t done anything with the company yet other than raise the prices. The Older Blackbox (HYT) has the same 4 watts of power as the Motorola but is a little short on Clarity. But still a good little radio. It is less expensive but not a "Cheap" radio. None of the radios I mentioned have any problems with Mags as long as there not mounted next to them. A lot of the Mag interference in some radio systems is not because of the radio. Its because of insufficiently shielded (cheap) car harnesses or being mounted or routed to close to the mag.

    Got Dan's system in our top dragster for 2 years now and had no problems.
    Would highly reccomend his systems
