    Header Coatings

I bought a set of coated funny car headers a while back. They were beautiful right up till I had to fix a crack. Grinding the coating off was a bitch. I won't ever get coated headers again. I bet the big bucks guys get them and just toss them when they crack. Mine need to last longer than that. Dave Germain

    coating headers with oil

I am getting ready to run a set of headers that I built and I want to make sure they don't crack or need any additional welding before I have them coated. What kind of oil are you using to coat bare headers? wd40,lps?

    call embee

Call Embee Performance. They do all of my coating including my headers. They do a coating on both the inside and out. I highly recommend them. They are in So. Cal.

Most all power coaters can do this ceramic coating anymore,
where ever you pick, try to pick some where close as UPS will dent the s**t out of them if they are not packed and protected extremely well.
One of the reasons we do not send them out ay more and use plain motor oil to wipe them and the chassis with bare steel to me looks just fine and then you can fix them fairly easy when they do crack, and they will...
but i was a big fan of Jet Hot! But shiney silver looks bad with dents in it and a pain in the a$$ to fix!

I used the coating that KBS sells. worked really well. You have to cure them in an oven at 350* . I put them in my old BBQ grill and it worked out fine
