I am new to the Alcohol and Blower thing and I am trying to hook up an air throttle stop and I am not sure how to make it work with a trans break. Anyone have any Ideas?

    Thank You

    acd starting line controller

I have an acd unit that came with detailed instructions. As only had two wires...one goes to ground and other to same wire that goes to transbrake.

the way acd unit works is you have to have pressure for the throttle to open fully. once you activate transbrake it releases air and only lets throttle open the set amount by the t.stop adjustment. one you release transbrake it opens throttle fully or can slow opening speed if you want.

BE VERY CAREFUL. if you use a pro brake to back up, this will also work in that fashion and your foot will be on the pedal when you let the button go, and you will hve the motor sail to the moon in reverse because your foot is on the pedal. you should put a safety switch in line to make this work, or not use a pro brake.

Yes thank you I did think about that. We got it all working and ran last weekend for the 1st time. Jeep did great small tune up and it ran 3.16 @ 107 in the dirt then broke the pump in the trans. Thanks for everyones help.

    no pedal probs for me

3-D, never had this problem before. With blower idle is high enough to reverse without giving any extra throttle. Also when TB is pushed will only let throttle open the set launch RPM amount.

    Casey,
what I was talking about is that when the pedal goes to the floor, the driver has a tendancy to rest his foot there and when the button is released there is a moment that pressure is applied to the foot feed and the motor zings. I am sure you are used to your prodecure, but to someone new it can be a problem. also if there is a 1 second start time in the delay box, rather than the TB this could be a nightmare.

    caution

yea, i'm all for being cautious and thats fine to warn people of potential dangers. but the set up I have the pedal does not go to floor it has pressure all the time. the throttle stop thing is hanging on the hat. i really feel this is the safest deal out there I don't know what the other manufacturers are like.
