I got a crazy question.. I have a 470" 481x with a psi.. it in in a TAD. I also have a nice TAFC roller and I was thinking of putting together a 7.60 nostalgia funny car on alcohol...
is it possible to run a slider clutch in a deal like this with no trans. (Or a two speed at best) and set it up to leave at idol or not much above and run in the 7.60's ?? The goal would be to try to run the number but with big MPH.

Crazy I know... some guys out here in so cal are thinking if we get enough players we may be able to end up with a nostalgia alcohol class.

Go to the CHRR in Bakersfield this weekend. Lots of nostalgia cars. PSI screw ? Nostalgia guys don't like them. I know some alky nostalgia cars are running the Crowerglide type clutch. Why not just dump the clutch [ pun ] and run a powerglide ?

What do you mean by slider? Guys run both style clutches in nostalgia.. Glide (leave with brake and gas pedal idling at stage), and Pedal (rev it up and swap feet). Almost all run a two speed.
