I'm looking to put a 6 Shooter setup on my car with a 8 channel Electrimotion timer. Has anyone ran this setup on a MSD 20 with the big cap but NO crank trigger?

Yes, and no problems. Do you have a question?

I was told I might run into problems without running a crank trigger?
I'm thinking of taking 10 degrees out at the hit then ramping 8-6-4-2-0 in 1-2 seconds?Could I give you a call Mike to run a few things by you?

I do not know what problems you would have without a crank trigger. A crank trigger only helps if your timing is jumping around a lot. It stables it out at what you set it.

Mac I think the first hole in the six shooter is for idle. When I ran a six shooter I kept a zero in no. one ....later I kept a three in it so when the car launched it wasn't such a shock to pull it down to six deg. retard.

    Mike I have a question.

I too run a 20 Amp Pro mag with six shooter, 8168 timing control, MSD 7560 timmer and crank trigger. It is on a Blown SBF with on board starter and 16 volt battery.

On the 6 shooter I have a 10 degree chip in One, 8 in two, 6 in three, 4 in four, 2 in fivr, and 0 in six. with the timmer activating the stages. For the car to fire I have to have the black and grey bridged on the the timing control otherwise it will not fire. Is this normal?

    Regards Lyle.
