I was wondering if the Manzo loss in the first round was because of the safety box? I have had problems with mine that were traced to a chafed wire. Clint Thompson had problems with his in Spokane. Are other guys having problems with them too? Dave Germain

I wouldn't doubt it, a number of my customers have lost rounds and runs as a result of issues.

Word from the racetrack is that it was a broken throttle cable.

Another overlooked part prone to breaking at the wrong time. As there was no mention of the Chutes coming out, it wouldn't have been the box.

    Box

Alexis had a malfunction before Q1. The chutes came out and I think it shut off before stage. I was in the other lane. Regarding Frank, it was a throttle cable failure. We were set up past the finish line in the pits. I noticed that the chutes were not deploying on many of the fuel cars that had aborted runs. Don't get that one. Tom Carter.

Noticed that too in TF Q2 when Worsham and Lucas ran, both aborted.. but Morgan's chutes deployed when he rolled past it, Worsham's didn't.

    My observation

What ive noticed is there are an awful lot of the fuel cars that only have one chute out. How does that work when the shut off device cant pick chutes. Kevin
